What can I expect after?

Post treatment, your skin may look as though it has sunburn. How long the redness lasts depends on the individual, but most clients see a reduction after 24 to 48 hours. Some dryness, pinpoint bleeding and bruising may also be present, which is entirely normal and will resolve within a few days. Your treatment includes an aftercare take-home kit to soothe, calm and heal the skin.

Does it hurt?

SkinPen® is an intensive treatment that creates incredible results, and for some clients it does come with some discomfort. Topical numbing cream is recommended 30 - 60 minutes prior to the treatment

How long between treatments?

Procedures are spaced 4 weeks apart. Clients usually begin to see the initial results within a week of their first procedure. Radiant skin is apparent as the deeper skin continues its natural healing process.

Get tailored advice
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure two weeks before and after your SkinPen® treatment.
  • Cosmetic Injecting clients should leave two weeks between their last cosmetic injecting treatment and SkinPen®. If you’re prone to hay fever or eczema, take anti-histamine medication prior to treatment.
  • We recommend applying a topical numbing cream 30 - 60 minutes prior to your treatment to make it more comfortable, which can be purchased from your local pharmacy.

Following your SkinPen treatment, the following aftercare will help to  heal, hydrate and protect the skin.

  • PRODUCTS Rescue, Lift HG, PIH and Sunscreen or Red Cover.
  • IMMEDIATELY AFTER TREATMENT The skin may appear flushed and there may be warmth in the treated skin.
  • THINGS TO AVOID Avoid the gym, spa and sauna for 24 hours. Avoid products containing active ingredients for 7 days dependent on treatment. Avoid direct sun exposure and exfoliation for 7 days for all treatments.
  • FOLLOWING TREATMENT Your skin will be pink and warm. This may be present for 1-3 days.
  • POST-TREATMENT CARE Day of treatment: Use Lift for first 24hrs 24 Hours After: Apply Societe mask, then follow with Resue, PIH and sunscreen. Day 7:  May resume actives and Can resume exfoliation

What are the benefits of SkinPen®?

What skin types does SkinPen® treat?

Unlike many other skin renewal options, SkinPen® is safe and effective for almost every skin colour and type. The SkinPen® treatment can be tailored to your skin’s needs and has minimal side effects.

What should I expect after my treatment?

There may be pinpoint bleeding and/or bruising for a couple of days. Within a few days, you will notice a smoother, brighter and more radiant appearance – however, the full effects of the treatment do not appear until several months later.

Does SkinPen® hurt?

It does depend on your individual pain threshold. Some people don’t find it hurt at all, while others can find it uncomfortable. Topical numbing cream is recommend for your comfort.

Is SkinPen® safe?

Yes, SkinPen® is approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration. The tip of the pen holds a series of tiny surgical steel needles which pierce the skin. The needle cartridge is disposable and individual to each client, and the SkinPen® itself is designed to minimise the risk of contamination.

What is the treatment time and frequency?

SkinPen® microneedling is an intensive 30-minute procedure. Results may become visible after the procedure, however most clients will require multiple treatments for best results. Some conditions may require three treatments while something like acne scarring most likely requires a minimum of 6 treatments.
